AirPlus was founded to show travelers the Maldives that exists beyond the resort fence — and to handle every detail of the journey, from the moment they land to the moment they leave.
AirPlus began as a Maldives inbound operation — a team that understood what international visitors needed when they arrived in Male and faced the logistics of reaching their island. Domestic flights. Speedboat transfers. Delayed international connections. The gap between landing and arriving was larger and more stressful than most visitors expected.
We built systems around that gap. Flight monitoring. Named airport representatives. Proactive transfer rebooking when flights are delayed. Small things that the resort and the OTA both missed. Over eight years, those systems became the core of what AirPlus is.
Along the way, we started building experiences — fishing expeditions in Laamu Atoll, island-hopping itineraries, local culture visits — for guests who wanted more than the single resort island. That became the second pillar of the business, and the one that defines how we are different.
